Anyone know a Jay (Junki) Lee - scammed lots of people

Anyone have information (address/photos/info) on this guy? He was organising track days under the group JAYSTRACKDAYSFORFRIENDS and organised some events in Alberta this summer. He collected deposits from about 50+ people for events at Rocky Mountain Motorposrts Park, Strawberry Creek and Area 27. All track days were cancelled right before they were to happen (tracks never even received deposits) and he took off with about $30K (estimated).
He lives in Vancouver/Burnaby as far as we know, is involved in the Porsche community and has done legitimate track days before. We are putting a case against him and would appreciate any information if you know him. Google search shows that he was involved in some small scams in the past.

Area 27 in Oliver, BC.
Did this event go through or it's a scam too?
Should be happening this weekend.

Found this on Facebook via Google.
Our boy Jay Lee, also known by his real name, Junki Lee is still at it!
Jay Lee/Junki Lee is a track day organizer out of Vancouver and was looking to test out the Alberta Track scene. He was hosting a track day event @ Rocky Mountain Motorsports on August 14th 2022 and @ Strawberry Creek Raceway on August 17th. Both of these events were filled and he collected full track fees/deposits from approximately 75 people (some signed up for both events).
The event at RMM was cancelled (albeit not his fault) and in speaking to others, allegedly the Strawberry Creek event was never booked at all. RMM refunded the track fees to Jay Lee a couple days before the event and since then he has made numerous excuses to delay refunding the money to all involved. For some others he had even coerced people to move their track day fees into a separate Area 27 Track day that he was organizing Oct 1 & 2 and collected even more money from them. We have found out today from Area 27 that Jay has now cancelled the booking for Oct 1 & 2.
This is the research we have compiled on this guy. We've found through online (and paid) searches through the BC court system that he has been charged and convicted multiple times for fraud and theft in BC. In addition, he's been sued multiple times for a number of scams and the plaintiffs have been awarded judgment each time. Man were we ever fools to send this guy any money. You can take a look at what we've compiled in the link below.

Believe he owns a 997 targa and a panamera.
He's been removed from the local Porsche chat groups after it was revealed that he had defrauded several others out of 5+ digit sums in a crypto investment scheme.
No additional details as everyone has been fairly tight lipped about it - either due to ongoing litigation, embarrassment, or hoping the guy will make good.
I'd pursue litigation asap if I were you.

Looks like this dude is a career scammer. This appears to be his Porsche so if you see it don't forget to give it a good kick to the quarter panel

Honestly it's not hard to find the guy if you really tried. You have his license plate, I'm assuming phone numbers, full unique name. It's not like his name is Bobby Lee. Cough cough just saying.

Alot of people just let theses petty scammers off by saying Karma will come bite him in the ass. Its not worth the hassle to get back a couple hundred, maybe thousands of dollars. Well look at him now....

That's a Freedom Mobile number (or at least 446 used to be when I worked there 5 years ago). Probably prepaid with a fake number and address.
You used to be able to dig up account information to check these kinds of things, but they changed the systems a while back so you need a MFA code to your device to confirm access.

Cops don't care in general.
donk.

Cops don't care in general.
They care, it's moreso that their hands are tied

Cops may care but the real question is with how much emphasis and priority will they put into looking in to this. They will absolutely care when they are asked to by a higher authority such as the courts.
Edit: donk beat me to it.

My buddy confirmed he went to HS with him.
Born 91, Grad of 09, Riverside Secondary School in Poco.
He was apperantly asking ppl left and right back then as well for money.
when you google his name, top search results include scam threads on him
seems a bit of career suicide to be doing this type of stuff i'm sure HR places do their own search when about to seriously put an offer to someone. unless he has no job.

Seems like this scamming business is his career.
Legal and reputation aside, I'm sure this guy makes more money than I do :okay:
