Bro really saw the AMGOne had 1063HP and said they'd do one more.
This is getting really close to Pagani/Veyron territory and there's still a faster one that's coming.

Next Up:
- Pagani Huayra @ 238mph
- McLaren F1 @ 240mph
- Veyron @ 253mph
- Veyron SS @ 268mph
- Chiron @ 304mph

That much performance for an estimated price of $150K US is nuts. I bet they could charge way more and still sell out.
I also like how the president of GM was the one behind the wheel.

Bro did also crash the last ZR1 when driving the Indy pace car

The only things faster at this point are boutique brands, Porsche/Lambo's top speed runs were slower

Lol
And that's why F1 doesn't mess around and designates a professional driver for their safety cars...

The crazy part about this is you can buy this from your local dealership. We have like 5 plus on Vancouver Island. From the looks of it this is not going to be some limited edition car. You could drive this across the country with out any problems and even if you did have a problem you have like 400 plus dealerships you could take it to. Good chance they would have the part in stock or could order it quick. Even 15 plus years from now parts would be easy to get. I had a faulty oil sensor in my R8 and they had get one hand built from Germany because no one had any.

Is there any reason you don't see many c8s around? Was it cuz they pulled a gtr and jacked up the msrp? Or dealers gate keeping them like Toyota and Honda? :considered:

Unfortunately, GM is kind of well known for not having the greatest reliability even in their Corvettes. Every generation from C5 - C8 is known to be affected by some sort of issue even when the car is new, esp when it hits the track. Most of the time, GM eventually figures out how to make the car (ie. the Vette) sufficiently reliable, but IMO you probably don't want an early model year car.

One reason I read about is all the traditionalists not liking the Vette to move into an MR platform -- they just want their Vettes to keep being FR, and the move to MR also significantly changed the way the car looks.
IMO another reason we don't see as many C8 compared to earlier generations when they were new is -- the traditional Vette fans are really getting old now, so a new gen Vette might not be on their radars anymore.

I've seen a bunch of C8s around lately, maybe they're just less popular in some areas.

Same here, I've seen plenty of C8's rolling around. Most come out on nice days.
