What cars do you want to own, and why?

This car forum needs more car forum-e stuff going on:

Wishlist:

95-02 nsx - you want what you cant afford, and this is probably at the top of my list. Only sat in one, never driven, looks like fun despite some saying otherwise (can be said for all cars)

04-06 ford GT - looks nice, would like to abuse it on the track, this is my "post nsx" goal (maybe when im about to die from age)

73-87 el camino - probably a shitbox one (7-20k), one of those cars that would "feel good" to drive in summer, and "feel" like you took a step back 30 years

01-11 Elise/exige - minus the low quality interior, would like to abuse it on some winding roads, probably rice it out with a big wang and splitter too.

06-10 H3T - ultimate winter beater, everyone can judge me on the road for owning a hummer, although i see alot of the electric ones on the road, so maybe they arent as gay as they were.

09-2012 panamera - would need to be the super/turbocharged one, also looks like a fun winter beater while the C7 is parked in the garage.

13-18 A35-A45 - hatch only, AMG, interior is quite nice, vs all the garbage listed above, dont care much for new cars, but this is definitely on my list. Minus the fact that the A45 does not exist in canada, and the A35 only comes in auto if im not mistaken. Hopefully import one if their prices fall.

My kid's 4 year old birthday party is saturday. I'm in charge of the goody bags.

Most of the goody bags my kid brings home are full of dollar store junk. I'm trying not to do that.

Anyone got any ideas based on your own experience?

Yeah the software literally HAS to be replaced now. It should have been long ago, but it kind of went unnoticed for a long time. But now it's under attack constantly, so the vulnerabilities have to go. I have done what I can to keep it up for now
The new software is basically still a forum layout. It still works in the same way, with forums, threads, replies. We're not switching to like inline replies or chat based or anything like that. Still a forum, just modern.

HIGHROAD vancouver COMMITED ICBC FRAUD
They billed ICBC brand new parts but gave me my used parts repaired

I was in an accident in with my motorycle in June, 2025. I was rear ended and was deemed not at fault. I sent my motorcycle to Highroad for repair. They insured me that everything would be replaced with brand new parts and the ICBC claim sheet showed I would receive all brand new parts.

When i received my motorcycle back from Highroad, i noticed the paint work was very poorly done. It has paint/clearcoat drips, paint/clearcoat bubbles, unpainted areas, black plastic undercoat still showing, and dirt/dust stuck underneath the clearcoat. They agreed and said the bodyshop would repaint it in the winter time.

December 2025, I take off my fairings to have bodyshop repaint it. I noticed one of the fairing wasn't brand new, it was my old fairing repaired and repainted. I was suppose to get a new fairing, badge, and decal worth $1100. I asked Highroad why I didn't get a new fairing, badge, and decal, they said they changed the ICBC claim to repair instead of replace. I checked over the parts sheet and that is not true. Then they said the parts weren't avaliable, also not true, i found mutiple places in stock with them. Then they said at the time, this was the best course of action.

Also during repaint, I was suppose to have my brand new exhaust, frame sliders, and barend part installed. Highroad did not order them at all. It had already been 6 months since my accident. I asked them why they didn't order it yet, they said it is unavaliable. I emailed my exhaust manufacture, Austin racing, they replied back to me within a day and said i would be able to ship me one out in 3 weeks. The other parts i found easily on google.

They charged ICBC $2355 to have my fairings painted at a bodyshop but I'm certain no certified bodyshop painted it. I asked them multiple times who the bodyshop they used is, they would not tell me. I told them I would drop off the fairings to the bodyshop for repaint but they wouldn't let me.

I have text message proof that I'm being lied to multiple times about my issues.

Pictures of the paint work:
- Edges unpainted with paint/clearcoat drips
- Black undercoat still showing through
- Fairing they repaired and repainted. They masked the decal and the paint bled through
- Headlight fairing backside is unpainted, other side is painted from factory which you can see
- Hard to capture the dirt/dust under the clearcoat in photos but you can see how horrible the paint job is.

Transport Canada's collecting feedback on headlight glare.

Survey link here:
(cutoff: April 20th, 2026)
https://tc.canada.ca/en/corporate-se...ts-glare-night

Autopian article on this:
https://www.theautopian.com/you-can-...oure-canadian/

My opinion:
Yeah it's sometimes an issue, but primarily it's with clapped out older vehicles with haphazardly slapped-in aftermarket bulbs to totally the wrong headlights. Never with OEM lights no matter how bright.

So maybe:

Mandate LED headlights in all new vehicle sales, so that in future there is no incentive to (improperly) retrofit the wrong bulbs into headlight with optics that weren't intended for them. E.g. HIDs into reflector style headlights.

Check for improper glare (either due to aim or improper optics) during safety testing, and in traffic enforcement.

Provision for adaptive beam / matrix headlights in the CMVSS (because I think they're still illegal in Canada).

I'm < 10 years out to early retirement, pretty much coastFIRE'd, although not at your wealth level. Been on the FIRE movement since 18 years old, but I've been maximizing experiences over early retirement in the last 5 years.
Pretty content since our economy was slightly worse than those born in the 80's / early 90's. Y'all had the great 1995-2026 bull-run.

I can run anytime of the day but only 90% of my days atm.

Honestly, I've never met a wife that retired any of my friends yet including the fobs, please let me know where to find them, I am super mobile and can be anywhere!

Also isn't that a shame that you have enough money to do anything in this world and you're spending it working as an eccentric hobby, not tryna be offensive. I've been ready to retire for a looooooooooong sabbatical
