claiming retro headlight
 

recently I had a custom retro headlights on my car, some jerk backed into my car and hit one of the headlight and knocked the bazel (shroud) inside which is held with a strong glue. How can I claim this? I have an old pic of my car the the bazel was sitting properly.

Was the retrofit cleared through a VI and ICBC? If not, I wouldn't bother. They wont fix a modification if it's illegal.
