How much for just a pair of the Type-R components?

I'm not quite sure what is meant by "set". Do you mean 1 PAIR of a component set? Or.. 2 pairs in a set?

1 set includes a box of alpine spr-17s speakers, so 2 speakers, 2 tweeters, and 2 crossovers.

are the X's dual voice coil?

yes dual 4ohm voice coil

the center channel puts out some nice sound and fits nicely into a 1-din compartment, i tore my ashtray out and had it custom fabricated into it, looked very clean! (thanks mike again)
