problem using VGA cables to PC help please
 

whenever I switch from DVI to Vga by pressing the source button on my LG monitor, it would say analog power saving mode. I know this happens when the monitor does not detect output from PC. Does this have anything to do with my video card 8800GT? MAybe some type of driver update?

I wanted to use my VGA -> VGA again so I can use my HDMI - > DVI cables for my PS3 to PC monitor and switch between the 2.

anyone know how to fix this problem?

Does your 8800Gt have a VGA connector?
Hook up the VGA cable and do a cold boot.

i think he's doing vga from his monitor to dvi, since 8800gt only has dvi connectors.

im even using the adapter vga to DVI so i can plug into 8800GT output again. but still says power sleeping mode after i hit the "source" button

Have you tried both the DVI outputs?
