Computer speaker question

My computer speakers were working yesterday then when I went back on they dont. I have headphones and plugged those in to the sound card and they work. I tried the Monsoon MH-500 flat panel computer speakers and they still dont work. I check the wires, the power is on and the light at the back of the sub box is on. Still no sound. I went into the control panel and checked all the sound devices to make sure they were set to the monsoons just as a precaution. Not sure what I can do next. I dont want to get rid of the speakers as they probably work. Any one have any ideas on what to do next?

Edit: Problem solved.

I use the mute button on the keyboard and never the puck that comes with it. It donned on me to check it and sure enough I remember bumping a glass behind my monitor and that's where the puck was ON MUTE.

phewwwww

It's probably only one of the three pieces that is bad. I would guess the sub is bad. It's probably not worthwhile fixing. You can tear it apart and have a look for something obvious. If you don't find anything, consider giving the satellites away to a someone who has a set already.
