a easy sound recording program?
 

Hey guys, im looking for a very lite sound recording program that i can tell people to download, record files, and then send them to me for a project im working on

id like it to be simple as possible so i can send it to the 5-6 people i need sounds from, and it's easy for them to record/find the files and send em back to me

any suggestions?

audacity is free and easy to use... but a beginner-computer user may have trouble installing the optional LAME mp3 addon because it's a separate install and requires basic window skills. if you can walk people though installing the app and the plugin, you're set.

I second audacity. Might want to make a quick readme, but otherwise its functionality is excellent.

doesn't windows have a sound recorder?
