When I lived in Nanaimo, I got up and down the island whenever I wanted, just by hitching. I met some very interesting people too (including a guy with a split personality, literally)

i've taken ..the train this summer. to courtney is around 4hrs .. it was under $100 for the round trip. they made a stop in nanimo
