the commercial has been playing on repeat every day for a month or longer now..the super phony, "uplifting" ultra gay ad showing the people of vancouver showing there excitement and happiness for the upcoming games.

It seems the rest of Vancouver just don't care and skipped town. Lately it's been a ghost town in the downtown core. Going southbound on the Lionsgate at around 5pm, it doesn't get backed up til mid span. Normally it takes 30 mins just to get to the onramp. I thought everyone was taking transit or something but driving down Pender after getting off the bridge, there aren't a whole lot of pedestrians either.
