Aleksandr Plehanov, known to students as Mr. P, was arrested March 18, eight days after an investigation was sparked by a call from a parent who said her daughter had been touched inappropriately by a substitute teacher in her Grade 3 class, the RCMP said Monday. Investigators found two other students that same day who also reported sexual touching by a teacher on school property.

The girls are seven and eight years old.

Police say they notified the school district, which suspended Plehanov. The district, citing privacy laws, refused to indicate if Plehanov is still on the payroll or make any further comment except that to say it has "has no information to suggest that any students are currently at risk."

Went to three of those schools....... but never heard of him.. weird.

This is the first time I heard of such thing in the Lower Mainland, usually this kind of thing happens in the states

that guy should be banned from all schools, daycare centers, and grocery stores near a daycare center

I played one of those schools in rugby last year. I wonder how many students would be willing to testify if they were victimized before he was reported this time around?

Yes, 9+, 7/8 year old girls from different schools conspired to get a substitue teacher in shit - that makes a lot of sense. :thumbsup:
