D-Link 655.

Honestly, anything but Linksys. Everyone I've known so far who's owned one was never too happy with it.
Asus is a pretty good brand for wireless routers as well. I personally use the D-Link N-300 as I've had no complaints about it so far with surfing, downloading, and online gaming. |
It really depends do you want one for gaming, everyday use or something?
I use a D-link those cheap ones i bought it for $20 from some small computer shop and it works great |
Dlink DIR 655
had it since it came out, rock solid, reset it maybe 2-3 times in the years I've had it (atleast 3-4 years i think). |
linksys wrt160N
running dd-wrt firmware and works great |
I'm also on a DIR655. Rock solid. Used netgear in the past with good results too.

For a wireless G router, I highly recommend the Linksys WRT54GL (flashed with DD-WRT/Tomato). It's very reliable, and delivers a strong signal. I've owned it for 2 years and I've only reset it 2-3 times, only because my Shaw modem had problems.

I'm running WRT54GL w/Tomato :) Pretty good but I haven't used wireless too much

Just got a DIR 618 last week. I don't think it's out yet in Canada, but it has been excellent so far. The range is quite amazing

i prefer a N router and i guess D-link it is? OH and can anyone tell me the brand "Belkin" is it any good??

Linksys WRT400N
|
Linksys WRT610N
Simultaneous dual band FTW |
how come one of the person turns down linksys?
i thought when it comes to router, linksys is hella reliable or at least linksys > D link? |

My 610N has been rock solid since I bought it. I haven't had to power cycle it once. |
I love my d link
|
i hate linksys with a passion as do many people i know. unstable at times and people can easily still get on your network

If you are using the WPA (or WPA2) security protocol, the level of security is the same across any router. |
had a dir655 for a year..shat out on me kept on dropping connection
now on a netgear forgot what model some dual band one, been great and better range then the dir655! |
I have always hated Linksys.. Had way too many problems with them in the past.. But with DD-WRT or Tomato I'm sure it's better.

Haven't had any experience with N-routers.
I have 3 Linsys WRT54GL's with DD-WRT and they are rock solid. Never been a fan of Netgear nor D-Link. I think my next N-router will be either Asus, Buffalo or a Linksys. The on criteria I have for routers is that it has to run DD-WRT. This way the router will always have some sort of 3rd party firmware support, if there are issues. |
I asked a similar quesiton also on RS like 1-2 years ago.
I had a Linksys WRT54G originally, then got the newer version thinking it would be better and it sucked. Everyone on RS recommended the D-Link DIR655. It's been rock solid, no connection drops, range is decent too. |
