under 30 inch tv tax in bc?
so Chopstick bought this cute little 22in lcd tv and was flabbergasted to notice a $9 tax thingy on his receipt
can someone plz tell me what this "under 30 inch bc $9 tax thing" is? for what ulterior purpose does this serve? tv bought at best buy, if this helps seems quite racist to me. those dicksmackers .___. *edit* for smartasses, yes i've tried google |
all electronics in BC have a recyclable tax I believe. Laptops have them. TVs have them as well. The bigger the size of the TV, the bigger the fee. Its like a disposal fee or some shit.. cash grab if you ask me.

Just be glad it wasn't 32" or something. Then it would have been $30.

You didn't Google hard enough!

why would u be on RS complaining about a mandatory fee?
|
wow. i guess you haven't bought electronics in awhile.
this has been in effect for a couple years at least now. |
^ yeah he's totally out of the loop, a 22inch LCD isn't a tv, it's a monitor! :bcrdukes:

$9.00 for anything under 32". anything over 32" is $31.75

EHF's are the bane of my existence.... they're annoying to explain to people buying shit online...

Reason is, there are huge monitors you can buy that is only considered "LCD monitors" b/c they don't have TV input. If it has TV input on the monitor then its considered a LCD TV no matter if its 15" or xx" yes im a geek :alone: |

Someone with over 30" will be charged more, surely they are racist!!! :troll: |
