I've had one guy around the Cambie/Broadway area - I ran back to the car just when he was giving a ticket to the next car. I asked if I was too late, and he told me he will cancel the ticket - but in return, I needed to promise to God/Allah, or whatever I believe in, that I needed to do one good deed to a random person. So I found another guy with an empty parking meter close-by and put $1 into it.

Super fail. second post since may 2008, You were not off to a great start to begin with. But i do agree with some parking officials being complete ass's

if you pay by phone (using verrus) they actually send you a sms a few mins before expiry reminding you, and you have the option of calling right away to extend time.

if i recall its a free service.
