Building on fire on Bridgeport
 

Passed by an hour ago, saw a huge plume of smoke but couldn't get a decent look due to fire trucks and the such blocking the road. Was on Simpson just behind Bridgeport, a few buildings down from G5. Anyone know whats located there?

Not sure what it is. But also saw it driving by about 2 hours ago. Pretty big fire.

It's very close to where that small plane crashed a year or so ago.

Not richmond but there's a huge fire at the saw mill behind the west coast express in mission. My buddy lives close and said the mill is gone and it smells like a tire fire with all the convoyer belts burning

Dang, no wonder the airport was kinda hazy driving back to Arthur Lang bridge.

Drive by there around 7am today. Flames were coming out the windows and there were firetrucks and cops all around the are.

I just drove across Knight Street bridge and there are still huge plumes of white smoke coming out of the building

News 1130 - There's a huge two-alarm fire on Voyageaur Avenue, between Shell and No. 5 Roads in Richmond. Six businesses have been damaged. No one has been hurt.

Saw this when I went into Richmond this morning around 10-11ish? Can't remember the time exactly but the smoke was very thick.

anybody know the cause?

apparently my friend told me it's an "industrial" fire...shouldnt be anything serious...but i wonder if it's still on fire..? I'm at work..so I can't check.

my car is at the benz body shop now.

i work across from there smoke was there ALLL day from 6:30am - 7pm not sure if fires out yet. @toyota86 - i dont think the benz shop was affected since they have quite a gap between the 2 buildings

I drove by at around 11:15 and it was still smoking like crazy. You can see the huge cloud of black smoke from Ikea.

I drove by again at 5pm and it was still pouring smoke across bridgeport. They were shooting into the building and two excavators were hitting the walls.

just drove by 5 min ago. still blocked off and hoses are still going.

huh... passed the area around 1030am didnt notice anything...

^How did you not notice? Just before then, Simpson was completely blocked off from Bridgeport with fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and a transit supervisor SUV, plus the HUGE plume of smoke... lolol
