Rebuilt engine (about 2800 miles ago)
4 speed manual
Runs strong, sounds great
~290,000 miles on the chassis
14" Enkei Dish style wheels
Comes with 2 repair manuals
Rotten body hence low price
*Update* New battery installed. Car starts up instantly as new.

This 260Z is in good running condition, smooth shifting transmission but the body lacks potential. So ideally this is a good as a parts car, especially the engine and transmission which is rare at it's current condition.

Was going to save the engine and transmission to restore in another Z's body as a weekend warrior, but realized I'm not finacially ready yet. Plus, I need some more money for shotgun ammo due to outstanding flock of birds in neighborhood.

Can this be insured and driven on the road?

Definitely. The body is still together with the engine and transmission and everything. It's just the body would not be appreciated very much because it's not perfect.
