A man stole a car from Reina Imports Wednesday night about 6:30 p.m. Employees from the dealer chased the man and he drove into a nearby parking lot to get away, but couldn't probably maneuver the car. A report from WISN indicated that "it appeared the thief couldn't drive a stick shift, because he was driving slow, and they said they could hear the gears grinding."

He then pulled into the Target lot at 124th and Capitol Drive, and stole a security guard's car after assaulting him. Again, he was foiled from going further. The thief drove around the parking lot, but ended up in part of the area that did not have an exit. He gave up and got out of the car and ran. Luckily, the security guard was not seriously injured.

Thief Tried to Get Into Third Vehicle But Was Stopped by Driver

The thief tried yet again to get into another vehicle, this time hopping in a truck from the passenger side. The driver of the vehicle started punching the thief, so he got out and ran again. That's when the police, from the Brookfield and Butler departments, arrested him.

i found on tv then did a google search & find this quite funny when i read it gave me a good laugh

Hahaha fail. I remember when learning how to drive stick I didn't grind gears... stalled the car but no grinds.

Would be funnier if he stole a manual car in Burnaby and got stuck up a hill.

Shoulda stole a car with paddle shifters, maybe that would have helped him :troll:
