There's even a fake Ikea in China
 
Well, I guess since most (all?) Ikea stuff is made in China, there's bound to be some pretender Ikeas:

I've been thinking though... with all these major corporations infringing on patents or knowingly ripping people off (banks/investment firms for instance who just agree to pay a fine instead of being labeled "guilty") can you really blame some people in China doing the same?

lol i guess those chinese dramas showing them assembling ikea furniture is actually from this place :D

I didn't think you can say, sorry you're using our yellow and blue color. I don't know how far they can go. I mean, look at Nood, they are copying the same shit to sell to people....

this becomes very interesting but i don't think they can do anything about it.

yeah this isn't an outright copy different name slightly different colour scheme (percentage of yellow to blue etc)

Walmart is legit, but is only found in 2nd and 3rd tier cities.

Most people shop at Carriefour and Metro.

Btw, Ikea is considered to be a mid-level furniture brand in China (there are much, much cheaper options)

I think the stuff from nood is turn of the century pieces, they are old designs that have been remade. Aren't those like public licenses already?

A lot of IKEA's products are not made abroad. They use a lot of local companies and businesses to make the products.
