Starting a home business in my rented suite

Is there anything i need to know about registering for a municipal business license if the address is for a house I don't own? I'm unsure if it effects the property tax or something along those lines.

nope, there is no requirement that you must own the property to operate a home business. You can deduct part of your rent as expense as well.
