REVscene Automotive Forum - FS/FT: 2000 Jetta VR6 Turbo

The reason I'm selling is I need a bigger car like an SUV. Looking mainly at Xterras and Land Rovers, maybe 80/100 Series Land Cruisers. I might also be interested in some trades that are more "trade-in friendly" at stealerships.

I bought it back in September and love driving it. It turns heads everywhere it goes, and most importantly, it drives really nice and is FAST. Having said that I absolutely baby the car and RARELY even hit boost (lame, I know).

Everything on the car works as it should. It is fully loaded with heated/power/memory leather seats, auto dimming mirror, Climatronic, heated outside mirrors, etc. This car is built RIGHT. All the parts are quality and no short cuts were taken. Everything from the clamps on the intercooler piping to even the way the fog lights are hooked up, it's done RIGHT. I have spared no expenses on maintaining this car at Shift Auto, and they can definitely vouch for that.

Currently has 235k KM's right now and is my daily driver

In the past 3-4 months of owning this car I have spent $4500 on replacing anything that was needed or recommended. This includes:

-New Kumho Ecsta AST (less than 3000km on them)
-New Barum Snow Tires on 300ZX wheels (also less than 3000km on them)
-Alignment after new tires were put on (have the spec sheet for it)
-New Bosch GT3 spark plugs
-New flip key from VW (so there's 2 flips keys now)
-New Battery
-Oil change with Motul Oil (was not due yet but did it anyways)
-Transmission fluid change (did it for peace of mind)
-Brake fluid flush with DOT 4
-Both O2 sensors were replaced with Bosch parts(one was finicky and one had the heating element go bad)
-New Bosch starter (had the dreaded screech on start up)
-New JVC Deck with back up camera put in (Old deck was f**ked up and turned on/off whenever it felt like)
-New cabin filter (replaced just because it was recommended and based on not knowing the age of old one)
-New Windshield put in (Old one was pitted and scratched up, drove me nuts when driving at night)
-New serpentine belt and tensioner put in (old one exploded and snapped the belt)
-Bora R For Light Connectors (were not functional when I bought the car)
-Intake Manifold Bushings
-Fixing the dreaded broken trunk opening mechanism

-This is a big one for me. One of the 3 piece SSR's was not sealed properly (according to Wheel Fix It after taking the tire off) and started to leak. I was putting air in everytime I got gas so I thought it was nail but turns out the rim was leaking. Since it is winter time, I decided to take the wheels off and have them all refinished. Wheel Fix It took the wheels apart, resealed them properly, polished them up, and I also had the spokes and lug holes painted black. It looks sick and I haven't put the wheels back on the car yet. They are on display in my living room right now.

THE BAD:
- Fenders have some nicks and have been covered with touch up paint
- It is a 10 year old black car, so the paint has swirl marks in it but NO DENTS(got the car like that and is expected)
- Snow tires are slightly taller than the 17's, so they rub the inner fender liners near full lock.

I would like to get $12,500 $11,000, $9500, $9000 $8000 for it, which is around what I paid for it minus all the work I have done on it. I am confident with all those parts replaced the car will be trouble free for a long time while the next owner enjoys it
