i feel you. i've been away from my mom since i was about 8 years old..currently 20. I keep in touch with her a lot but it aint the same.

Yeah man if I were you though, I would change something about it this year. Maybe call her more often ask her how she's doing, send her a random gift.(even if she calls to say why the hell did you buy such a useless gift? Because inside she will love it)

For me I don't have that opportunity to be a better son anymore.. The video harsh spoke to me. I always told her I was busy, when I knew she was just worried about me. Played it off as if she would live forever you know..but she passed sooner than I thought.

been away from my mom for 3 years now.. I miss her cooking.. she calls me almost everyday tho :P

I've been alone for Chinese New Years every year since I was 19
Even after a big fall out with my family, I still make the effort to call them for CNY

everything is better now I wish i can join them next year

it sux really really bad to be alone on cny, relatives =/= immediate family :alone:
