Where can I get a good Pastrami Reuben locally?
Yo, I miss TOGO'S from California and their epic Pastrami Reuben sandwiches
http://mesohungy.files.wordpress.com...om_the_hat.jpg Where can I get a good Pastrami Reuben sandwich locally? If worse comes to worse, I'll have to make one myself. |
Max's deli on oak and 15th has a pretty mean rueben.

dunns on seymour.

Tried Dunn's yesterday
It was good, but not as good as Togo's IMO The meat was good, but it wasn't pastrami, it was Montreal corned beef. I will be trying Max's Deli soon. |
Max does it with corned beef, but they also have a pastrami sandwich so just ask them to substitute it for you. I had one today before work:fullofwin:

I have never tried this place before but I believe the Omnitsky Kosher Deli on Cambie ad 42nd/43d (same block as Samurai Sushi) serves pastrami sandwiches with their own take on a Reuben sandwich appaerntly.
5866 Cambie Street Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Edit: There is also Kaplan's but I've never tried. |
Woodland smokehouse drive
485 Commercial Drive down right tasty, it has those big chunks of smoked meat and the big pieces of fat, makes it so delicious! |
Save on Meats.

on a side note does anyone know where to get delicious fresh capicollo?
thanks |
Kaplan's on Oak & 41st Ave.
PHAT deli in Yaletown, 1000 block Mainland. Both are Jewish owned delis. |
My GF's father used to work at Kaplan's.
She tells me that the kitchen inside is filthy. Reading reviews about Kaplan's makes me not want to go, because of terrible customer service. |
