To be members of the VLS Plus Club

you must:

-be a member of RS
-be 30 years old or over
-been on RS for over 5 years and know its origins
-still love cars and modifying it, but have branched over to other interests in life (hence VLS forums)
-had to choose between ___ vs Revscene, you'd still choose Revscene

feel free to suggest other criteria for the club

how about people who are old enough to rent a car, but on the inside feel well into their 60's (including yelling at punkass teenagers for skateboarding on the sidewalk). also, for people like me to regularly lurked revscene for 3+ years before signing up for an account

talk about old people things.. like costco memberships, sleeping at 10pm, frequency of vacuuming the house, and yelling at irresponsible kids

^i know a guy who is like that... and he also tracks the price of all their grocery purchases and individual item pricing on excel and do analysis. :D

I'd like to see a RS club that gears towards professional development. Helping each other out in business areas. EG: x has an idea on an app, y can provide help and they work together; small business is looking for partners, import/export, etc.

slowguy, please. If you are going to take this thread seriously, at least use Comic Sans. :failed:

we are slow and have lives outside of RS, this thread should take months to complete one page.

I have a life outside of RS too.. but typically from 9-4 I'm glued to a computer :woot2:

^^bingo! 8-5 here. late bloomer for sure as I lurked for years before joining. I still love car shit and still deep in the game but I'm down for vacuuming discussion/theory, early bedtimes, irritating kids, etc.

my dad sends all his emails in comic sans and I always thought to myself "that's fucking childish", "what are our clients thinking when they see that". Nothing has ever come of it but I still chuckle when I'm cc'd on some of his outgoings.

Speaking of vacuums.....

The tilt lock broke on my upright a few weeks ago. It was annoying cause when I'd go to use the hose/crevice tool, the vacuum would fall back. GF wanted to buy a new one but this works perfectly fine - no point chucking it in the landfill for a simple thing.

2 minutes scouring the garage for an appropriate fix.......

bcrdukes request fulfilled: a good buddy of mine sold those things back in the day. Made a killing too. They looked like a vacuum from the 50's and built tough as nails. My Meile(or whatever the fuck) is good but nowhere near a Kirby

I can't believe my parents spent $2k in the '80's and bought a Rainbow. It's a great vacuum but fuck, we were just a middle class family.
