if the headlight is less round and smaller, that would make it look more menacing. I think it sorta lost some of its edge but looking prettier

This is not the replacement model for SLS.
It's built to compete with the Jag F type and 911 Turbo.

back/side view reminds me of a porsche 911.

I like the look of the outgoing SLS better, actually same goes for many of the outgoing mercedes lineup.

I want to believe you, but the SLS is on the way out, this is on the way in, and every single article I've read about the GT says that it replaces the SLS..

It replaces the SLS in the sense that the AMG GT is now MB's halo car, since the SLS is going away.
