Random pet peeve: Calling desktop applications "apps". Sounds like pandering to the mobile computing market.
I'm really excited for the improved alt+tab and keyboard shortcuts in command prompt-FINALLY! |

I'm looking forward to this, it should be an upgrade over Windows 7, and a DEFINITE upgrade over Windows 8.
|
Did I miss windows 9 or ?..
|
Man, Win8... I upgraded my less than year old laptop from Win7 to 8.1 for a month. Had to downgrade back to 7 after realizing half the drivers weren't compatible (HDMI, trackpad, soundcard, etc) and the programs I needed to use most often weren't supported, even via compatibility mode. Plus that stupid tile mode was frustrating to use on a non touch screen.
Hope Win10 gets this addressed by convincing other companies to support their own devices for the new OS. |

Windows 10 start menu takes up half the screen. Wow! That might be the dealbreaker for me.

Microsoft made a mistake back in the day with Windows ME and now this? Damn. I guess history does repeat itself with Microsoft.
