Sprinkler Contractor
So there may be a potential leak in one of the sprinklers in my house. Can anyone suggest a reliable sprinkler guy?
Is this something a plumber can look at or does it depend on the plumber? |
Do you mean outdoor irrigation sprinklers or indoor fire protection sprinklers?
|
indoor for fire protection.
|
Sup? Head leak or pipe? :ifyouknow:
|
can't tell, can you recommend a plumber that's certified for sprinklers too? I'd like to hire just 1 guy vs 2 if it turns out to be a plumbing and not a sprinkler issue.
if not then i'd still be looking for sprinkler guy to look first. |
Have you gone up to the attic to see if it's leaking from the pipes or the sprinkler head itself?
|
The frost protection over the sprinkler lines should prevent the pipes and sprinkler heads from being visible from the attic, unfortunately.
|
shitty.
Although sending glowjob into a hot attic for no reason would've been pretty sweet. :troll: |
it's the downstairs sprinkler head with the drip anyway. i cannot see any crack or damage to the head, it's just beading and then dripping from the end. in a bucket it'll fill maybe an inch worth from morning to evening. water seems clear.

Since you're not sure if it coming from the plumbing or the sprinklers, you could turn off the water supply going to the sprinkler system for a few hours or a day (if it's a substantial leak). If it doesn't leak in that time frame, it's safe to say that's your problem. |
brass fitting between the head and pipe caused a leak. i got a sprinkler guy to come in and fix.
thanks for the input everyone. |
