Interior re-carpeting
 

Hi, has anyone ever re-carpeted their car with a random carpet?
I want to put a "rug" from ikea into my stripped miata.
Is this possible?

What are some downfalls?

Obviously some are
- custom cut (not too difficult)
- Weight (rugs are quite heavy)
- Durability (not designed for constant shoe movement)
