California emissions, crappy fueling systems that cannot withstand impurities of North American diesel, and the VW tuning scandal aka Dieselgate already killed the sub 2.0l diesel market in North America - so this news will have more of an impact in other markets. Too bad, I have 400k on my TDI and it gets over 40mpg no matter how I step on the skinny pedal.
