The internet has always been a place for people to congregate, while to others it's a place to fling poo. Hell, many of us including myself are guilty of it too at times. In person you get to see the people you're dealing with, and that includes seeing the passion they have for their cars, and a good chance to hear the reasons why they went with their particular style.

That's why meets are so important to our scene. Online it's easy to fight with someone who is a ricer, or powered by mom, or a pure performance guy. But when you're all parked next to each other, and talking cars in person, you can focus on the similarities, not the differences. At least that's been my perception over the years.
