Don't forget that your EF-S lens(es) would not work with the 5D, so you'll need to budget some extra money for lenses as well. But the 5D (MkI, at least) is kind of picky when it comes to lens selection. The vignetting becomes quite obvious at the wide end when you use consumer-grade lenses. Stick an L-lens on the body, and the problem becomes significantly less noticeable.
