I don't disagree, the faggot epithet isn't in itself homophobic hate speech. It's too pervasive to possess nothing but the homophobic denotation. Indeed, the gif and meme context implies that it's used with the gender policing related connotation. I'm just amused by the offense referring to it as homophobic causes people.
