When I first started my company, we all agreed on no bullshit, no politics, and no filter. Which is great, considering I have no filter, and I don't really give a shit if your feelings are hurt. Frankly, idgaf about a lot of things, as long as the job gets done. And if the job isn't done right, you're gonna hear about it.
Now my fellow co-founders are telling me that I should be more "nice" when addressing an issue. Cause otherwise people are going to be defensive.

It’s you having a personality that turns people off. I’m saying this for your own good. If you wanna be a leader u have to have a level of tolerance and patience. It’ll do u more good than harm. Be direct with ur communication but say it in way where it shows you considered their situation. And you’re just trying to solve a problem. No one like a smartass

Didn't know we were breeding snowflakes and a bunch of pussies. Also not sure if I'm ignorant and I'm just so used to being direct for the past 4 years, but having no filter and being simply just open has greatly benefited my professional and personal network.
(I see where they're coming from, but I don't care.)
