I didn't see the NJ 8 goal game but it couldn't have been much more lopsided than this!

Damn, that's a brutal fucking slash. He skated all the way there with the intent to slash/injure him.
He deserves to be out for the rest of the series IMO. If Drae is injured (which can easily happen with a slash like that), the Oiler's cup run is basically over.

They made a good point on the radio today regarding the Bunting hit and his suspension
Basically a hit SLIGHTLY too high when watched frame by frame waranted 3 games, so how can this slash not get that or more

Since the league bases the length of suspensions so much on the outcome of the victim. Given it was late in the game and Edmonton had the game in the bag already. Could/should Draisaitl have stayed down longer or exaggerate the injury, look shaken up, slow to get up, go directly to the dressing room, etc. (I didn't watch the game so not sure if Draisaitl stuck around after) so the league would take a more serious look at the incident.
That play was very dangerous and an intent to injure. It's fortunate Draisaitl came out fine, but it had the potential to be a lot worse. For a play like that, I really don't like how it the league just bases it on whether the victim was ok or not.
