I don't like Aquaman either, but if the child abuse allegations are true, then he really deserves to get what's coming for him. If the kids/ex-wife are just taking advantage of the situation, then the whole family is pretty fucked up.

If these rumours are true, that Aquaman made the decision to fire this video analyst Doerrie, then the big boss is a hypocrite.
Did the big boss not tell the media during the initial days of hiring Benning that the GM has "complete autonomy" on the team? I assume that a GM has the power to hire or fire a video analyst.
It took an owner of an NHL team to fire a video analyst instead of letting his GM make the call?

Any exec that says, 'GM and management team has complete autonomy' is blowing smoke ... c'mon you know how life really works. Aquaman tells the mgmt team 'you have complete and total autonomy' but when he wants something done and calls you over for lunch and begins with, 'Listen .. about so and so ...' What are you going to do?

Yup, that is life. A micro managing owner of our Canucks.
You would think that Aquaman is so busy with multiple business ventures in real estate development, blueberry farms, etc that he would leave the day to day operations of his hockey team to his GM. That would include HR decisions.

Reminds me of when Tom Larschied was shitting on the team going on about how Iginla was the type of player you need etc. this happened for a few games I remember clearly thinking wtf is this clown going on about shitting on the team on a local broadcast
Subsequently he was let go shortly after. You can only bite the hand that feeds you so many times before you’re cut loose. Not like it was that much of a loss by the time he got cut. John and John are a far better tandem
