I had this same exact thing but I was selling a mobile phone on craigslist. The this person wanted to pay it for her daughter or son studying un university in Nigeria. I got sketch so I emailed back asking for things and this person would email me back too responding to my messages (not auto messages either) and eventually I told them something like "My agent has discovered the money you wired to me through paypal is fake and we have reported you to the police as you were trying to scam" and never got a reply hahaha
