Why do we have an Aboriginal Heritage Day and not a Chinese, Indian, British, or French Heritage day? They all had vital roles in making this country what it is today.

I remember Trout Lake used to host these aboriginal festivals that had native dances and fireworks... i guess it happened on aboriginal day?
been so long those events were actually quite fun as a kid

Wish I could be in BC for the festivities 
There's a totem pole in Kowloon Park actually.. I think it's Salish. But it is in extremely rough shape, and will probably be taken down sooner rather than later
