I don't have to pick up the number...
When the spammer's call is incoming, one of the options besides pick up, ignore, etc, is an option to block/blacklist.

Once I get a call from them and when I pick up. If it is spam I add them to CallID (app) and I never hear from them. i also set the app to private caller.
