Those Road Race boxes are a fun quick power adder. They make about 180 whp when paired with an intake and downpipe. Add an FMIC and full exhaust and they hit about 195. (This is on the dyno I'm used to being on). After you've had it on for a few months, reset the cars ECU. The RRM loses power over time due to the ECU's torque limit adaptive tables.
Yeah, I actually find it funny they tell you to drive it as aggressively as possible after installing/resetting to teach the ECU to be more aggressive. But realistically it just goes downhill as it learns. Plus where will you really drive aggressively in any metropolitan area.
Either way, I'm happy with the performance for the cost. I have an Evo X to play around with, so for the wife, its more than enough.
I haven't posted in here in a while. So much going on. Put a built engine and a new Garrett G25-550 turbo in the car while sorting out the details of the QV electrical system. Slapped a hater pipe out the hood while I was in Washington state. Obviously had to remove it before coming back up to Canada but it was rad.
