edit:..... i dunno how i feel about it.... its definitely not my superman movie... might be a good sci fi flick but not a superman flick, for me anyway

Not sure where you get "sci fi flick"... looks like they basically combined the first two Christopher Reeve flicks - Kal-El origin story (Russell Crowe as Jor-El? Interesting...), skipped the Lex Luthor bit, and went straight to the invasion by Zod.
Given that Superman is actually from another planet, SOME sci-fi is kind of necessary to the whole thing.

yeah but the whole invading army of kryptonians and the dark and grimey look and bulky suits seems more like your typical alien invasion film to me and not a superman film
i'll still be able to enjoy it but not sure if it'll feel like supes to me
as for Lex i hope he at least makes a cameo or something in the film, his building does "LexCorp" at 2:18

From the various teasers, it looks like they combined the first two Christopher Reeve movies - start off with the Superman Origin/growing up story, then instead of a really campy Lex Luthor starting earthquakes, jump straight to Superman II and General Zod coming on the scene with his band of Phantom Zone cronies.

Really looking forward to this movie.
I never was a Superman fan. Barely even know the backstory.
So I'm hoping this one will be good and explains it from the beginning.
I tried watching the other Superman film that came out like 4-5 years ago, but it was garbage.
I got bored and stopped watching after 20 mins in.

i wasn't exactlly excited for this movie, doesn't seem like superman to me
but ill be damned if that trailer didn't look fucking awesome 
although the early reviews are negative i hear
