dona cata is really good and a great deal. i need to be absolutely fried to finish $10 worth of tacos.
first time i went, the 10 salsas were in random order. yah it was pretty hilarious after my mouth stopped burning.

Les Faux Bourgeois is great for French. Good good. Good service (without the attitude) that doesn't hurt the wallet.
"Grub" is also a good place for food.

Kalvin's Restaurant http://www.dinehere.ca/restaurant.asp?r=980
my favourite Taiwanese/Szechuan food in town
place is cramped as hell, looks like shit from the outside but the food is very authentic.
make sure you book tables before going.
