Searching for Race Car Storage

I am moving and the new temporary building does not have room for my race car.

I am looking for a covered/indoor secure, reasonable rent, auto storage location in the lower main land area for the car.

If you have or know of a garage space, an unused parking spot or warehouse space available, please let me know at m_sasso@shaw.ca or leave a message if I can't pick up the phone at 604.220.6309

I think most storage places charge quite a bit per month, upwards of $150/ month
I was looking for a place to store my car for the winter close to home, but nowhere is cheap unless you park it outside

There are plenty of newly built small warehouse/commercial space that shouldn't be too expensive about 800-900 a month. A lift is not too expensive either I think $3000 will get you a pretty good bendpak.

Thanks, however not looking for a location to work on it just park it. Outdoors and I will likely come back to an empty spot where it last was.

If you dont mind a spot outdoors with no cover I'm sure it'd be pretty cheap per month

Find a friend that lives in a condo with underground parking. The building usually has extra spaces they rent out to tenants for cheap-ish.

Check the storage places. When I was looking for a new home for the VCMC trailer, it was about $150 per month.

The one that we settled on was a bit cheaper and was fenced with 24 hour electronic servilence. (sp?)

Down side is you park outside to the elements.

Ah that is why I am posting here, exhausted that avenue already with no success, so I am looking for someone that might know someone that has or heard of an opening. Fishing!

If you are not working on the car. There is a huge lot at the storage facility on United Blvd.. right next to the highway and the casino.

Anything you do, from storing in friend's apartment to getting its own space.. remember to get storage insurance!

Once again thanks, it is insured, however it is not going OUTSIDE! I will sell it or take it apart and put in the Apt. before that happens.

Call all the Public Storage in Vancouver and ask them about a 20 x 10 storeage locker. Or was it 10 x 20.

Either way, expect to pay around $350 a month, but it is indoors and is big enough to park your car, and even work on it. Some PS's might have a deal and is only charging $1 for the first month for new rentals. I did that when my brother's car was totalled and I needed time to strip all the valuable parts from it.

They'll probably be significantly more though,

How about we pitch in and start an RS garage

A friend with a carport/garage? I've got a carport but don't think the parents would take too kindly to a 5th car in the driveway/carport.

If by thieves you mean steal the car then just take the battery out, or disconnect the fuel pump. Assuming it's a racecar there shouldn't be much left in it anyways...

Grow up spoiled child, you don't have a car port, your parents do and they let you use it.

And you obviously have no clue how thieves operate and what they see value in.

Someone at my condo is renting out their parking space for $800 for the year. It's on Langley near Fraser Hwy and 64th Ave.

Hello ilvtofu,
I am open to any where as long as it is secure, I won’t be needing regular access only storage maintenance access.
No, I have not contacted him yet I am still looking at other options, because I don't think it is going to be inexpensive.

Hello Iron Chef,
Unknown could be a month and could be until spring but I would like to find an option that is available for at least 2 months.
