New backpack/bag/etc. for school Any recommendations? I want something that looks good, doesn't have to be a backpack, I saw a bowling bag style fred perry bag that i liked at plenty, but where else do they have some nice men's bags? Decent size and under $150 preferably |
Even though they're backpacks, Dakine ones are pretty nice, and can take a beating while holding a lot since most are hiker/skater bags. Most go for around 65-100 bucks. I'd get one, but I've already got a reliable one that's lasted me a few years now. However, after looking over the Fred Perry website, I'm not sure if it's your kind of taste. |
My friend just got one at Lacoste, we saw the ones at Plenty... and felt that the Lacoste one was worth it + looked way better. It was 125$ without tax and it was the last one at Lacoste Downtown but there was the same one at that shoe store on robson... |
I like "The North Face" packs. They're pretty rugged and the designs are decent. You can find a wide variety of packs at ECO Outdoor Sports beside Futureshop in downtown. |
I don't think i really want a utilitarian backpack though, LOL I don't care about practicality that much (note the Z31 2 seater...) The design/style is more important, I mean as long as it doesn't use shitty straps that tear after 6 months i'm fine, The quiksilver backpack i've been using for a while looks like the day i bought it, but don't really like it cause it's really LB |
i just bought a Logitec Kinetic backpack..... kinda looking to sell it. Pm me if anyones interested :P |
i just picked up a lululemon backpack.. well i didn't pick it up.. my fiance got it for me.. =D |
i have a northface 'bandwidth' backpack. basically it looks somewhat like a recon but it has a laptop sleeve with a hard foam back. i think i paid like 75 for it at the northface off granville, it was on sale. |
I have a nice new Hurley all black backpack for sale if you are interested. Otherwise I saw a Ben Sherman bag shoulder bag at winners on marine and byrne road |
I have a north face recon, very useful if you have a lot of stuff to carry, has a laptop slot, good shoulder support too i vote for north face in general, they make good stuff |
I got a Dakine backpack two weeks ago or so. The one before this was similar and lasted me about 4 years I think. Great quality. It broke cause I carried it by the zippers full a couple times haha. |
I'm looking to either a Dakine or North Face since both brands have good bags in my price range (50-80 bucks). Anyone know any good stores to find them besides common stores like West 49, Sport Chek/Coast Mountain etc.? |
i am using my lululemon backpack for about 3 years and it's been very comfortable. i want to get this though: http://www.bapenerd.com/images/2009/...e-backpack.jpg |
^Is that like 1000$? lol BBC branded.... |
$1400HKD or i think $220CAD? iono where to get it locally though. i missed the bbc store when i was in tokyo 2 weeks ago |
^ you can get bbc clothes in gastown.. but i'm not sure about backpacks. but i know for sure that livestock or something sells bbc clothes :) |
I like this bag http://canada.frenchconnection.com/p...+MESSENGER.htm has a kind of ruggid look to it.. (looks better in real life i dont like how the picture looks =P) |
lululemon back packs are ridiculous so many pockets, it needs a legend i don't have one, just used to work there |
The Kensington contour backpack seems pretty good for $30 at BestBuy. I think i might check it out tomorrow. |
Anyone selling a Dakine bag? |
I have this bag http://www.shopadidas.ca/product/IX3...ner/detail.jsf Its still brand new if anyone wants it, I 'll let it go for $50. I've got too many side bags already... |
What do you plan on carrying in the bag? Lots of books/laptop/binders/clipboard etc? In my final year of SFU, I grabbed me a nice Filson bag while I was in Seattle because it only needed to carry one book and one binder. http://www.filson.com/product/index....entPage=family This is a very durable long lasting bag...I continue to use it to this day. I love the construction and I'm confident it will last me at least 5 years of continous use. |
binders at least + a textbook I guess, Looked at the north face backpacks and they aren't stylish enough LOLOL, I really don't need that durable a bag anyways |
|
I picked up a North Face Heckler backpack in the States for 40$ |
