Just got back from Whistler

I was walking around the DAy Lot in Whistler. 80% of the cars Don't even have Snow/winter tire on. Isn't there a sign saying " Winter tire is mandatory beyond this point from oct30 to april 1"??

So, come on... Please dont make me stuck at sea to sky because u people, with all season ( hard as brick at low temp ), ran over a sheet of black ice, spinned a 720, rolled over 3 times, 90 degree fishtail, mary-go-round and caused a multiple crash.

* Also , if they do set up a road block, u get ticket for not having winter tire or chain + u need to pay to get ur car tow up the hill.

i don't think he thought that far ahead yet! haha.

all season tires are OK but a lot of people just don't know how to drive. I do run studded winter tires though and they are awesome. I like passing 4wd suvs in my fwd honda.

When you see a greyhound blasting at 120+ km/h, you should follow its speed. Those buses have radar detectors.

my car is incapable of over 90 uphill

There was a dodge dually 3500 ram with a ginormous trailer behind it that passed me going up hill as well

sometimes, there are roadblocks at Cypress which require either
a) snow tires
b) 4x4
c)chains

everyone else goes home

Agreed. Snow tires should be mandatory. At least if your driving something like that stretch of road or the Coquihalla. Non-compliance should be ticketed.

u should blame tire manufacturers to use the word "all season" cuz it literally means it can be used 365 days a year. Until the government put a ban on tire manufacturers to use the term all-season, I dun think it's fair to make snow tires mandatory cuz we all know the general public is worse than stupid.
