Korean Blood Gang Getting It In On The Dance Floor!?
Big Bang's recent good-bye stage on Inkigayo featured them dressed all in red gangsta outfits.
Some enterprising young troll (or not, never can be sure with these internet types) posts their performance video on World Star Hip Hop. Not only is this meta as fuck to anyone who dabbles in the KPop scene but they had the brassy balls to call Big Bang Bloods. AHAHAHA.
To those of you not in the know, Bloods are a street gang originally from America. Wikipedia them for more info. But that's not important, the gold mine is the comments section. To be fair, the majority of the comments are questioning why people keep calling Big Bang Japanese, hesitantly liking the song, or just plain laughing at Big Bang's ridiculous outfits.
BUT THAT'S NO FUN AT ALL, LEMME SHOW YOU THE REAL PAYDIRT
For those of you who can't think of a good recent dramas to watch:
Watch:
Feast of the Gods, Man of Equator
Feast:
This drama is pretty well written. 32 Episodes total, but all of the cast members fit thier role perfectly. After seeing Sung Yuri in Hong Gil Dong, then bomb it in Romance Town, Feast cast the perfect role for her acting skills. She's not a great actress at all, but the role fits, and with the well written plot, you'll find yourself oddly rooting for the antagonist. Seo Hyun Jin steals the show as the antagonist, with a well rounded supporting cast.
Tear jerker. No plot twists since it's all laid out for you within the first 3 episodes. You're just in it for the ride to watch all the shit unfold. Pretty addicting. There's a bunch of sweet romantic scenes to keep the gf happy, and enough confrontations to keep you hooked. Must watch.
Man of Equator:
Typical Korean Revenge plot drama. Plot is laid out within the first few episodes, and then it's just a matter of watching shit unfold. Quite a few minor plot twists and turns. This drama gives a bunch of teases, and just leaves you cringing for it to all fall in place already. Well written, good mature cast.
My only gripes are that there's random time skips to move the plot along. It takes 2 time skips, and doesn't tell you how long the time skip was. You go from getting used to the younger cast, then all of a sudden you're thrown into a time skip with the older cast, and you're left wondering wtf. The Younger versions of the character actually had more depth. Then bam, it gets thrown out. Another gripe is Lee Bo Young's shitty character. She has no depth, at all. She's just there.
If you don't like hour long death stares between the characters, you'll get pissed off watching this. However, it's dramatic enough to keep you hooked. Give it a few episodes, and see if you like it.
Don't Bother:
Love Rain, Fashion King
I was pretty iffy about watching these 2 dramas. I only started watching Fashion king because it had 2 hotties in the cast; Shin Se Kyung, and Yuri. While it was pretty decent about 5 episodes in, I'm now stuck watching this drama fall apart until episode 20.
Love Rain..I don't really have a verdict for yet. I only watched 2 episodes, and I usually give it a 5 episode run to figure out if I give up, or watch it fall apart like Fashion King. I only wanted to watch it for Yoona..regretting it now.
If you want a slightly older drama:
Fugitive Plan B
City Hunter
The Greatest Love
Secret Garden
Pasta
Iris
I've wasted enough time watching Dramas to know (forced and voluntary). You can trust me on this.
