Is an "N" driver permitted to operate a tow-truck?

Like the title says, can a driver holding a novice licence operate a tow truck to tow cars?

Yes. I've dealt with several "N" tow truck drivers. There are no restrictions saying that they aren't allowed to.

I dont see anything in the laws that i can remember that say your can't as long is its properly insured for your use, and its not running air brakes.

Seems odd that they can't be trusted to drive without "N" restrictions but they can be trusted to drive off with people's expensive cars.

Not all "N" drivers are idiots... just most of them!

Like the chick I saw today... single driver, on her cell phone, speeding excessively on highway 1, and using the HOV lane to pass. That's like, insta-lose-licence kinda infractions!
