Red Light Camera Ticket Hi, I have a question regarding red light camera tickets... Do I get penalty points added to my licence if i pay these fines?? |
no, unless you dispute it and are found guilty still. |

BUT.... wouldn't what I did go under MVA 186? And if i pay the fines, it would mean I would plead guilty and then the points would then proceed into my licence? |
Traffic camera tickets don't generally carry points, because points apply specifically to the driver's license, and there's no way to prove who the driver was on the photo. The fine is applied against the car's owner, regardless of who was driving. |

No, you get points. I had one last year. |
i had the DSC tell me that if you pay the ticket, you don't get points, if you dispute the ticket and lose, you still have to pay the fine AND you get points. because as was previously said, now the moving violation is against you specifically, not the registered owner of the vehicle. |

If the registered owner nominates you as the driver, you get points. |

You shouldn't as far as I know. |
