no, unless you dispute it and are found guilty still.

ok, thanks.

BUT.... wouldn't what I did go under MVA 186?
And if i pay the fines, it would mean I would plead guilty and then the points would then proceed into my licence?

Traffic camera tickets don't generally carry points, because points apply specifically to the driver's license, and there's no way to prove who the driver was on the photo. The fine is applied against the car's owner, regardless of who was driving.

i had the DSC tell me that if you pay the ticket, you don't get points, if you dispute the ticket and lose, you still have to pay the fine AND you get points. because as was previously said, now the moving violation is against you specifically, not the registered owner of the vehicle.

Was it a red light camera or was it a cop giving you a ticket? For cameras, they cannot prove you were the one driving so unless you went and told the police that you were the one in the picture, they can't give you points. The ticket is ticketed to the registered owner of the vehicle. If they gave you points on a red light camera ticket in which you did not dispute and just paid it off, then I would go have a chat with ICBC about it.

If the registered owner nominates you as the driver, you get points.
