it means your last gen of drivers were so bad, they think you need another year to think about your driving habits.

I'm glad I got my N by 17

This is the joy that the adults must have felt when we were complaining about the implementation of the GLP program

I completely back this up. Too many retarded N drivers out there thinking they're the Stig, or are just an Asian version of James May.

agreed with waiting 2 years instead of 1, too many asshole drivers nowadays thinking they have something to prove on the road...

I kind of agree with this because at my high school all these guys think they are nuts with their corollas on canadian tire spinners which just makes me facepalm pretty hard

however, from a learner's perspective, that blows... gotta drive my car 2 years with my parent! no thx. I wanna get my N faster so i can come to revscene 2012 alone!

I'm glad they are doing this, like others have stated, lots of noobs of road thinking they are king shit.

They should also teach kids not to cut off trucks, its fucking dangerous cause we cant stop fast enough if you decide to slam on your brakes

Haaah.
I feel old now. They changed the rules for my generation. Only 1 Passenger with N, and I thought that sucked.

Now it's 2 years to get your N, and you can still only drive 1 person. LOL

Life was alot easier when I did my GLP.

When you turned 16, you could do your Written test, If you pass you get your Learners (L)

you then had 6 Months to practice ( shortened to 3 months if you went with a 30 Hour Driving School ).

At the 3 or 6 month period, you did a Road Test. If you passed you got your N.

Then the N was for 18 months with Zero Alcohol, and 2 passengers.

I got my Class 5 at 17year 9 months old.

This better be bullshit.... If it takes 1 year then you are gonna see a lot more aggressive drivers acting like they own the road just cause they have their license.

i got mine when i turned 16, went in did my computer test.. passed, hired an intructor and took a few lessons.. signed up for the road test and passed it. all this took 6months.
in 14 years of driving, only 1 accident (12 years ago) and 5 speeding tickets.. i say thats good...

also, this doesn't change the fact that people still cant drive regardless if they have to wait 5 years to get their N or even full license.. but i guess its better then not doing anything and handing over the full license.
