a lot of peeps told me panth is killer early game but when it comes to late game, u wont be too much help in teamfights

If you snowball hard enough as any champion, you shouldn't be worried about late game. The game should be already over before people get to late game lol

... then realized I don't have 16 champions required to play Ranked 
Currently have 13 after buying Nasus. Gotta save IP to get the last 3.
Spent everything on Runes, damn Quintessences are expensive...

That may be a good idea, wouldn't want to get thrown to the wolves lol... but I'll need to play a ton more games to rack up enough IP to buy 3 more champions AND fill up my Rune pages ...

As soon as I hit 30 I did ranked and would recommend it. You'll get placed where you belong and if you keep improving you'll climb after that. There is no such thing as getting 'stuck' at a certain level. If you are 'stuck' at a rank it means you belong there, imo.

Finally took the plunge into Ranked this week, and I'm 1-6 lol ... won the 1st game and lost 6 in a row 
You guys are right Ranked is a whole different animal, everyone's warding and shit like crazy. I played 1 game support and got verbally assaulted for not rushing a Sight Stone ... I actually am not entirely sure where to place the wards TBH ...
