I was hesitant to post this as I was hoping it was an April Fool's joke (not the content but how the article was written), but I just saw it discussed briefly on the news.

I find this article highly offensive....not the content, as I could really care less about the numbers or what ethnicity has the bigger population, but I find it to be written almost like a "warning" to Caucasian people. Like, we need to start paying attention because this is viewed as a bad thing. Not cool.

Not to mention, the comments on the fb link to this article are shameful.

White people need to start fucking. That's what the article is saying. That's what EVERY article on this subject is saying. No one is having a Sound of Music sized family anymore(except my sister...she's doing her part!). Our birth rates are low. Not Russia low, but low.

Personally, I don't care. Others, I'm sure will and do.

Yeah, that article is written in a way that I would have expected it to come out of a conservative American newspaper. There are far better ways of presenting that information without making it sound like a doomsday warning.

not at all surprised, white girlfriends ive had always say they want max 1 kid, asian girls ive dated always want like 4+ kids... yet to date a brown girl but it seems the pattern for them to want large families also, so it makes sense that our numbers drop

but I do get what op is getting at, the article does have a "they took our jobs" kind of feel to it, sort of an I told you so to immigration although I don't think that was the authors intent. on a side note, I remember reading somewhere you can choose your unborn child's eye and hair color... maybe eventually skin color?

If you got that feeling from the article, that is exactly what I am "getting at". If it was not the author's intent to give readers "that feeling", it should have been written it differently.

i agree with the op, when I read it, i felt like the tone of the article was to show frustration towards "non-whites" taking over what didn't or doesn't belong to non-whites. I'm surprised they published it on globalnews.ca with the tone being how it is.
